WHY WE LOVE IT 

When the Tudor Oyster Prince was introduced in the mid 1940s, it was meant to be a watch for the everyman. 

Contemporary ads showed these watches being subjected to a ‘Trial of Destruction,’ in which it was worn by a worker operating a jackhammer. Other advertisements drove that point home even further, showing a Tudor Prince on the wrists of construction workers and miners. In 1952, thirty Oyster Prince watches even found their way to the Arctic on the wrists of Captain J.D. Walker and his crew in the British North Greenland Expedition.

The Oyster Prince had certainly demonstrated its reliability, and the sheer variety of models that Tudor released over the years saw that it had a universal appeal. While there is certainly a preference for models from the 1950s and 1960s, the model’s longevity meant that, beyond being a watch for the everyman, there was a Prince for everybody.

This particular model is a Reference 74000N Prince Oysterdate dating to circa 1998. Housed in a 34mm stainless steel Oyster case with holey lugs, a magnified sapphire crystal, a signed crown, and a polished bezel, it features a handsome, glossy black Tritium dial with applied indices, a matching baton handset, and a date window at 3:00. Powered by an automatic ETA movement, it comes paired to a stainless steel Oyster bracelet with a signed blade clasp and all its goodies!

Rugged, practical, and the perfect size for both men and women, the Tudor Prince Oysterdate is one of the most versatile designs in the Tudor back catalog.

OVERALL CONDITION

The case is in good condition overall showing signs of previous polishing and light wear from gentle use. Gloss black Tritium dial with applied 'baton' indices is in excellent condition with matching handset. Rolex signed crown.

Timepieces purchased online can be returned or exchanged within 10 days from when they are shipped or collected.

30-Day Returns For All Other Purchases:

All other online purchases can be returned or exchanged within 30 days from when they are shipped or collected.

On presentation of the original receipt, your purchases may be returned or exchanged at any of our store locations. Alternatively, you may elect shipping to our facility with all the original paperwork. All refunds must be credited to the same tender used for the original purchase. To return the online purchases through secure shipping service, please contact our client service team who will provide you the shipping label.

All returns or exchanges must be in new, unworn condition, with no scratches or markings, not sized or adjusted and in their original packaging and with warranty cards / certificated and instruction booklets.
